Dr. Sunandatai M. Gosavi Art Gallery

INTRODUCTION  :

Dr. Sunandatai M. Gosavi Art Gallery, a contemporary space spread in 2450 Sq. ft. with more than 100 running feet of display wall is established in 2024. This grand gallery is built in a scenic area on College Road in the heart of Nashik City, equipped with all the latest facilities keeping artists need in mind. Run under The Gokhale Education Society which is committed to make available space to artist for exhibiting work of Art and Fine Arts i.e. Painting, Sculpture, Installation, Ceramics, Photograph, Art concept with a view to promote Art and Artistic efforts of talented and promising artists at subsidised rent as charge.  .

GALLERY PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING SERVICES

 1. Use of the Gallery for the exhibiting works of Art and Fine Arts. 

2. Additional use of Prin. T.A. Kulkarni hall. (Additional Charges applicable)

3. Additional use of Covered parking area (separately marked) to conduct workshops/ competitions, etc.

4. Use of any available pedestals, chairs, and tables provided by the gallery at no extra cost.

5. Special Discounts for Bonafied students of educational institutes. 

6. Special Discounts for partner Galleries.

7. Central Air Conditioning and adequate lighting. (Including track lighting)

8. Attached toilets.

9. Maintenance and cleanliness of the gallery.

10. Storage space for artworks.

11. Lodging facility for the Artist. (Additional Charges applicable

12. Ample Parking space.

13. CCTV Surveillance.

14. Lift Facility for Artist, Guests and Viewers.

15. Display setting volunteer. (Additional Charges applicable)* 


BOOKING PROCEDURE :

1. Those intended to exhibit can book the gallery in prescribed application form.

2. Gallery timing shall be 9.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.


 TERMS AND CONDITIONS :

1. Applicant must complete the Application Form and abide by the Terms and Conditions of GES as specified below.

2. The GES reserve the right to modify, change or issue new terms, conditions & rules of participation at DR.SUNADATAI M.GOSAVI ART GALLERY for efficient and the safe operation.

3. We do not appoint any agency, individual or other gallery to book the DR.SUNADATAI M.GOSAVI ART GALLERY on its behalf. Institutions & Artists, while booking the space are requested to make direct correspondence at GES office.

4. A stipulated fee shall be charged if exhibition will be exceed than one week (06 days).

5. The Application form complete in all respects shall be submitted by applicant or by his/her authorised representative. Any false or misleading statements or misinterpretation of facts in the application may entail rejection of permission to exhibit.

6. The Applicant should initially submit the Application form I, along with the Bio-data of Artist and 8 / 10 photographs of their recent artworks.

7. After the allotment of dates, Artists will have to submit the Application form II, with part payment mentioned thereafter.

8. All Application Forms will be reviewed by the Selection Committee. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and binding. There is no possibility of an appeal against the Selection Committee’s decision.

9. Gallery reserves the right to permit or disallow the permission without assigning any reasons whatsoever to the applicant.

10. Gallery shall have the authority to cancel the permission already granted to any application without assigning any reason whatsoever, in which case the applicant shall be refunded the amount already paid by him/her, without interest thereon. The Applicant shall not be entitled any to claim any compensation whatsoever by reason of such cancellation.

11. In case the exhibition is cancelled by the applicant after confirmation, he/she shall intimate it in written format to officials before 07 days of allotted dates, the amount of security deposit and tax (if any)* shall be refunded in full. The maintenance charges will be deducted as per following conditions:

a) Notice of 90 days or more = 25%

b) Notice of 60 days to 89 days = 50%

c) Notice of 30 days to 60 days = 75%

d) Notice of 29 days or less = 100%

Note :

1) In case of cancellation credit note will be issued as per the GST norms of govt.

2) Deposit will be refunded as per policy only after the event date or cancellation date as the case may be.

12. Applicant shall make all requests/demands/requirements in written form only. Verbal / telephonic communications will not be entertained.

13. The Management shall be free to allot the cancelled dates to some other applicant.

14. The Management shall not refund any maintenance charges if the applicant is unable to hold the exhibition for any reason, including strikes, excessive rains, natural calamities, riots, etc.

15. The security deposit will be refunded to the applicant within three months of the expiry of the period of the exhibition.

16. The Management is not responsible for the theft or damage to any exhibits within the premises of gallery during and after the exhibition. All Exhibitors are advised to insure their exhibits against theft, fire, damage etc., if required.

17. All Exhibitors and their associates are expected to conduct themselves with dignity in the gallery premises. Any objectionable behaviour / display of work shall lead to the immediate cancellation of the exhibition. The applicant shall not be entitled to any refund for the unutilised days.

18. The Exhibitor will not be permitted to bring any furniture, loudspeaker, amplifiers, screens platforms, or such equipment of his own without prior written permission from the management.

19. Applicant must not cause any damage to the floor or structure, booths, furniture, fixtures, add-ons of any nature, on the premises of GURUDAKSHINA Building. In case of such damage the cost specified by the GES (calculated in accordance with the actual damage caused) will have to be paid by the applicant to the GES within two days from the date of closure of his/her exhibition.

20. Any adjustment of lighting, electrical systems or any equipment shall be done only by the gallery person. 

21. Cost of damage done wilfully or otherwise to any property of the gallery will be deducted from the security deposit paid by the exhibitor. If such cost exceeds the amount of security deposit the difference has to be made by the exhibitor before removing the exhibits from the galley premises.

22. The Applicant must cover all the costs and risks associated with the transport, display & removal of their exhibits and goods. Applicant must insure their exhibits & belongings against loss, damage, theft, fire or any other risks and third party insurance for the total duration at their own cost. While the GES would employ adequate security and take all precautionary measures, the GES cannot be held liable for any loss, theft or damage due to any untoward incident or natural calamities. The Applicant must insure their exhibits in the manner they think fit.

23.The Applicant will not be allowed to display exhibits in such a manner as to obstruct the light or impede passages or affect the Permanent display. Any such display, if causing obstruction to smooth movement of the visitors in the passages, will be removed by the GES. Applicant can’t display exhibits on the exterior walls of the Gurudakshina building premises.

24. Only limited external furniture is permitted into the gallery premises with prior approval. The furniture of the Gallery should not be shifted to any other place.

25. The loss/damages (if any), done to any internal or external property of the Gallery, including furniture, mics, lights, taps, fans, switches, doors, windows, AC, lift railings, fittings, fixtures, equipment’s, etc. during exhibition period, the applicant will be responsible to such loss and in such case the applicant shall be liable to pay assessed damage charges decided by the G.E.S managing committee.

26. The management and the gallery staff have full authority to enter the gallery or any part of it at any time during the exhibition.

27. The Applicant shall only display the artworks they have declared in the Application Form. The GES reserve the right to bar display of any work which does not figure in the proposed list of the Exhibitor. In case of any controversy or objection to any of the exhibit’s raised by anyone, GES have full right to take such exhibit off the display with or without consent of the exhibitors.

28. Any legal disputes arising out of the application of these rules will be under the Nashik Jurisdiction of the courts of law.

29. For serving of refreshments at the inauguration, the Exhibitors will have to contact the authorised caterers of gallery. Outside catering is not permitted. No wines or hard liquor can be served in the gallery premises. 

30. The Applicant must sign the possession and vacating reports available with the office staff, while taking over and handing over the gallery space.

31. Vehicles parked in parking area should be driven away from the premises / parking area within half an hour after the end of the workshop, event or art competition.

32. Applicant shall note that after the exhibition, the deposit receipt for leaving the hall should be immediately submitted to the office (in office working hours) and the account should be settled. 

33. The management will not be responsible for items left or lost in the gallery. Lost items If found in the premises to officials could be collected by the next day between 11-00 AM to 4 00 PM.

34. The Chairman or the Secretary of the Gokhale Education Society may in exceptional cases, exercise special powers and grant exemption from the enforcement of any rule or relaxation of any rule (Not disturbing law and order) on the basis of merit.

35. Any kind of loud music outside the hall is not allowed.

36. Organizer shall have to pay extra Rs. 2000/- per hour for usages of generator.
